We’re excited to launch our ‘Card of the Day’ blog posts today with our first card, ‘You’re Beautiful’ by Masha D’Yans. Each day we will post a new Card of the Day, and mark down its price by 50% until Sunday of that week.
The purpose of our ‘Card of the Day’ series is to highlight the beautiful, sometimes hilarious, work of our designers, and make sure that each and every card in our wonderful collection at JackCards.com, is uncovered for our members. We are very lucky to work with exceptional artists who create little works of art that are by no means small in their impact – they inspire, celebrate, and make people laugh, and they’re the best way you could deliver a smile, a hug, a caring nudge to someone’s door.
Last week we lost a Hollywood legend, Elizabeth Taylor. In a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar magazine, Elizabeth Taylor explained what truly made her happy and feel alive, and her words have inspired our card of the day today.
“I never planned to acquire a lot of jewels or a lot of husbands. For me, life happened, just as it does for anyone else. I have been supremely lucky in my life in that I have known great love, and of course I am the temporary custodian of some incredible and beautiful things. But I have never felt more alive than when I watched my children delight in something, never more alive than when I have watched a great artist perform, and never richer than when I have scored a big check to fight AIDS.”
~ Elizabeth Taylor, from interview with Kim Kardashian in Harper’s Bazaar (via PopEater).
We’d love to hear what you think of each of the cards and designers that we feature. For example for today, let us know: how do you define glamor and beauty? What qualities in a person do you admire the most? What would you write in Masha D’Yans ‘You’re Beautiful’ card, who would you send it to?
